Nokia presented a phone equipped with a flexible AMOLED display, which is based on a highly resilient and flexible plastic. The flexible screen is built on an extremely thin layer of liquid crystal active matrix (thin film transistor or TFT).
Music and movie clips in the new smart mobile phone of Nokia, are managed by bending the screen. This includes volume control, zooming in and out on images, stop playing music and much more. The beauty of this is that the phone can learn how to respond to different patterns of bending and twisting.
Since this is only a prototype of flexible mobile phone, at least for the time being it is difficult to predict whether it will be available commercially.
