Rummors say that apple is planning to offer, a low-cost version of its latest ipad. iPad Mini Tablet PC should, at least according to speculation on the internet, see the light of day no later than the next spring.

iPad mini display panel size is 7.85 inch and it has the same resolution as the iPad 2. It will be offered possibly at a much lower price than the iPad 2 to compete with the 7-inch Kindle Fire.

A smaller 7-8 inch iPad does have a lot of merit in and of itself. In addition to being cheaper due to smaller display panel size, it will be a much more portable device, easier to carry around, which could make it attractive to a whole new set of customers.
